I had a good "field test" with the new camera today, and got back to my roots with a location shoot. My friend Mary has three wonderful old dogs, who are all very photogenic. It was great to see how the d700 would perform on a dreary day, inside a fairly dark house, and I'm very much impressed. Here's a just a few of the great shots I got in our casual little session....

you got the d700 in the absolute perfect season -- i don't know what i did last winter indoors with all this dreary weather. the b&w shot is my favorite as well!
