Thank you to everyone who participated in the Pet Haven Photo Fundraiser on Saturday! We raised $200, which will pay for spay/neutering 5 animals! AND, 20% of any prints that are ordered from Saturday will go to Pet Haven as well. I hope to do more events like this in future, so keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities!

This lovely dachshund is the Mod Dog herself, belonging to mod-dog.com founder, Kari! Kassi wasn't even sure she wanted me to pet her at first, but by the end of our session, she was practically in my lap, loving me up :)

I love when I meet some dogs, I feel like I have a new best friend.....Mija was one of those dogs. She's so happy and friendly and I totally want one just like her! She's a rescue dog from a high-kill shelter down south. Thank you to Midwest Animal Rescue for saving Mija!

On Monday I was up in my hometown of Park Rapids for my Dog Photo Day at Dogs Paw. There was a great variety of 14 dogs and 1 cat, and I got some really great photos! Plus, I'll be donating $80 to the Headwaters Animal Shelter. Here's a handful of my favorites.....there were definitely lots to choose from!

I'm super thrilled to be this week's featured artist on Mod-Dog! It's such a great site, featuring very cool, modern products and ideas for dog lovers. On Saturday, I took photos of Lily, the standard poodle. Lily is very sick and doesn't have much time left, and I was quite honored to be her last photographer.

Just a reminder, the Pet Haven Photo Fundraiser is next Saturday, November 22! It's a great deal for some photos of your pet, (and maybe an idea for a Christmas present or Holiday cards....??)and a great thing to help the animals of Pet Haven! Be sure to contact me to set up an appointment for Saturday, so we don't have a chaos of dogs all at the same time!

I last photographed Emma and Ava when Ava was just 2 weeks old! She's grown so much and both girls are beautiful as always!

I had the honor of photographing Jaidyn once again, and she wasn't too sure about the scary girl with the camera! But she warmed up after a bit, and we got some great shots of her and her soon-to-be little brother or sister!

Mary Ludington and I did the third round of photos at MN LINC on Monday, and it was an absolutely beautiful day! We photographed Wendy's three horses, and her dog, Bo. Bo gave us lots of great photo opportunities by jumping in the pond and back out again, and generally just being a spunky lab! The horses were beautiful and really sweet.....it felt good just being out there with them. We both got some great shots, and here's just a few of mine......

Skittles is another adoptable dog from Small Dog Rescue of MN She's 7 and has spent her entire life with her family, who, due to a home foreclosure, was forced to give her up. She's a really sweet girl, and deserves a loving, forever home.

Last night was an amazing success for the wonderful people at Pet Haven! Congratulations! The house was sold-out, there were tons of great silent auction items and raffle prizes, and it all goes to rescuing and re-homing companion animals, spay/neuter programs, medical needs, and generally being an advocate for animals.

I'm soooo happy to be a part of their organization! They currently have over 250 volunteers (no one works for a paycheck!) and every one of them is passionate about what they're doing.....it's very inspirational! I encourage you to help their cause in any way you can, through volunteering or monetary donations to fostering or adopting. Check out their Volunteer Opportunities Page and see if you might fit in with any of these areas.
