Just for fun, I did some photos of a friend's dog yesterday, Bridgett. She's a "Turner and Hooch" dog, (Dogue de Bordeaux) and she's beautiful and kinda gross at the same time :)

The Woof-N-Treat party at Pampered Pooch was a success! LOTS of people came to hang out, play games, eat some great food, and get photos of their fuzzies dressed up in Halloween costumes! Owners Keith and Trisha and great, and I'm so happy to have met them! Here's just a couple of my favorites from the night.....which is seriously hard, because there's so many good ones!

I gave my new blue background a test run today and did some photos of our upstairs neighbor (i.e. Gracie's boyfriend) Murphy. He did a great job and I love my new color option! Also, in an effort to get Gracie pumped up for the Woof-N-Treat party tonight, Murphy let her borrow his devil horns.

At the Dogs & Drinks event this past Saturday at Corazon, (which is a super cute store with lots of great products!) I met the wonderful couple who runs Howling Dogs Bakery up in Mound. Gracie loved their treats, as did pretty much every dog at the event. They're all natural, gluten-free, and what's better than supporting a local business?

I had an amazing opportunity to assist Mary Ludington (whom I adore) yesterday on a fall farm shoot where MN LINC operates workshops and therapy sessions with the animals. We photographed horses, dogs, a cat, a sheep and some chickens! The horses were so sweet and beautiful....the big brown guy is a belgian who is nearing the end of his days, and the blonde is a fjord....I've never actually seen a fjord before, and she was very authentic.....shipped straight from Norway! It was a perfect fall day and I'm happy to have had the chance to capture these animals who all work for a great cause.

Dustin's neice, Chloe was baptized last weekend, so while we were up there, I did a little photo shoot with her and her sister, Cheyana. The girls are so pretty with their big blue eyes!

On Monday, I did a really fun session with Dog's Paw, a great new groomer in my hometown of Park Rapids, MN. All the dogs were great, and we even ended with an actual "dog pile!" Deana has been kind enough to let me hang some prints in her store, ad we're working on setting up a photo day where I'll do sessions up there, and part of the proceeds will go to the Humane Society. Plus you'll get a a gift certificate for Deana's services. Look for more info to come!

Tonight, Dustin and I spent a lovely evening hearing one of our favorite authors speak and give a reading of his new book, The Graveyard Book. Neil is an incredible writer, and he has a wonderful voice to listen to. I'm so glad we had this opportunity, and I definitely recommend checking him out.
