lauren + kevin
Ok, so I know I've always said I don't want to photograph engagements or weddings, but I broke down and did my first ever engagement shoot yesterday, and it couldn't have been better! Lauren and Kevin are so fun and so in love, we all had a blast, and I got more keepers out of their session than any other session I've ever done. Just incredible. We went out a little before sunset to the Walker Art Center/Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (make sure you pay right when you park......I went home with a parking ticket) There were so many beautiful places to use in the photos, and there were hardly any other people around. I had a hard time picking just a couple, but here are my favorites of the day.... AND my lovely assistant, Dustin, accompanied us, and got some amazing shots of his own....I'm excited for him to come along on more shoots and really develop his style! (he shot the last 2 of this post)

twins!
I love photographing twins....it's definitely more challenging than just one :) Here's just a few of my favorites of 4-year old Ellie and Lolo. We had alot of fun playing in the back yard, eating giant lollipops, and getting fresh cut grass all over!

pet haven
I've also started volunteering with Pet Haven of MN and they had an adoption event today in Plymouth. Here's pics of just a couple of the dogs who were there.....I'm totally in love with this first one, Snuggles, who was born with no eyes, but was still the friendliest, cutest pup I've ever seen! If I could take him home, I would!

five new rescue pups
Small Dog Rescue of MN brought over 5 young dogs from the brink of death at a high-kill shelter today. The pups were so sweet! They think these guys are mixes of beagle, doxie and jack russell.....

On a lighter note, I finally got my boy Simon to pose for me (for about 4 seconds)

oscar + doozer + bear
Here's 3 more dogs from Small Dog Rescue of MN who are in need of a forever home. Oscar is the beautiful dapple mini dachshund, Doozer is the cute little chihuahua, and Bear is the sweet pekinese who, unfortunately, has gone blind from a genetic disorder. All these dogs plus thousands more need loving homes, so if you or anyone you know is looking for a furry friend, be sure to check your local rescue organization!

elliot
I've recently had the opportunity to work with Small Dog Rescue of MN and take photos of some of the dogs who need a little help getting adopted. Elliot is an 8-year old shih-tzu who's had a hard life, but he was so sweet during our session, and very excited about treats!
